The incident happened on Saturday, May 11 around 1:40 p.m., when a car caught on fire on Route 9 southbound in Croton-on-Hudson just south of the pedestrian bridge.
According to the village's fire department, the blaze began in the vehicle's engine compartment and was quickly put out. The car was removed from the road after around an hour.
No injuries were reported.
